Yukon Christmas Bird Counts

Started in 1900, the Christmas Bird Count is North America’s longest-running Citizen Science project. Christmas Bird Counts are a program of the National Audubon Society, and happen in over 2000 localities throughout the Western Hemisphere.

Canadian counts are managed by Birds Canada.  For more information about Christmas Bird Counts in Canada, see here .

Each winter the Yukon Bird Club coordinates and publicizes Christmas Bird Counts across the territory.

Below is this year’s list of upcoming Yukon Christmas Bird Counts.  All are welcome to participate.  You need not be a member of the Yukon Bird Club.
