Field Trips

Field Trips are back for 2021!

Please note that all COVID-19 guidelines in place at the time will be observed for all field trips

Field trips are the Yukon Bird Club’s major activity each year from April to November.  Knowledgeable local leaders will guide each outing and while they cannot guarantee the weather will be perfect, they will do their very best to make sure everyone has a great time and learns something new about Yukon Birds.  You can also count on some great interaction with colourful members of the Yukon birdwatching community!   This year remember that you should only carpool with someone in your bubble.

July 4 Dragonfly Trip rescheduled to 1 August! (added 4 July, 2021)

The Yukon Bird Club dragonfly outing originally scheduled for July 4 in Whitehorse has been postponed until August 1. Meet at 1 pm at the SS Klondike… see you there! In the meantime, you can post your dragonfly photos on #iNaturalist and we’ll try to ID them for you!
