Whitehorse: Birding the Whitehorse sewage ponds with Devon Yacura. Meet at the SS. Klondike at 10am. (2 hrs)

YBC member Devon Yacura conducted an assessment of pharmaceutical and personal care products (PPCPs) – a first for Yukon wastewater treatment plants. He sampled water, sludge, aquatic invertebrates and algae to find out what chemicals were present, when they were present, and how they were absorbed into the environment.

The Yukon Bird Club is pleased to present Emily Hudson on Sunday June 26 at the Whitehorse public library at 3pm. Emily is giving a talk on the Golden-crowned Sparrow. Emily is a PhD candidate from the university of Nebraska-Lincoln. This is a free event. Everyone welcome.
